Dear all,

after installing the latest SharePoint 2016 updates from February 2021 on our farm, the DocumentID is not shown any more in the ... properties field next to the document.
In general we use this feature to copy/paste the URL to be able to send links to SharePoint documents by mail.

Correct view before the problem: URL including a DocumentID
https://<url>/de-de/_layouts/15/DocIdRedir.aspx?ID=PH001-1669449029-41

Error: Now you see this URL instead the correct one for every document in SharePoint, the ID is missing (?ID=PH001-1669449029-41)
https://<url>/de-de/_layouts/15/DocIdRedir.aspx

The DocumentID still exists and if you have an old link including the ID, the document will open.

Any ideas?

Thanks, workaround works! I installed the updates because of the fix for the RSS Web Part, which has been successfully repaired, but now we have this issue with the DocumentID. Is there any information about plans for fixing this new issue with next month' updates? To have the DocumentID in the ... meu was very helpful.

Has this been solved ? The document ID is not shown in properties panel (InfoPane). That is worse than being editable.
We found the same for SP2019 after the CU-dec-22. It deploys the fix in the CU-nov-22, to disable an edit on the documentID value, and url.

Has this been resolved? It appears that if files are created from SP and edited in the desktop app the property becomes visible. Yet existing documents uploaded to SP and then edited in desktop app do not show this filed under doc properties.

Using SP Online and M365 Word v2302 (16110.20000).

This is a really important property to have in M365 apps so can MS please fix as this has been around for 3 years now.
