When I turn on my laptop I get to the choose an operating system to start and Windows isn't an option... How do I fix this? My laptop ran Windows 7 before this happened and the other option it gives is the manufacturers software 'vaio care rescue' which loops me back to the same problem.
Windows laptop stuck in a boot loop
When I turn on the laptop I get a black screen with a white loading bar that says 'Windows is loading files'. Once the bar loads I am brought to a screen that looks like this if
I press ENTER to submit it will load up the manufacturers recovery software (I have tried going through this option too many times and it brings me eventually back into this boot loop). If I press ESC to cancel I am presented with a screen that asks me to
choose my operating system to start which looks like this
I
am sure that there is meant to be an option for Windows here and don't know why there isn't but since there are no other options I have tried this far too many times and it brings me through the software and then starts me back in the loop (also pressing f8
brings me through the advanced options for the 'vaio care rescue' option which will just bring me back to the start of the loop also). If anyone knows how to fix this it would be much appreciated thanks.

Test the Hard Drive to start with.
Go to your Computer Manufacturer's website > look for your Computer's specifications > find out brand of Hard Drive > go to Hard Drive Manufacturer's website > find and download Hard Drive Diagnostic software and make a Bootable disk from it on the Computer you are using to get here, following their instructions > test your Hard Drive to see if it has failed.
And you can also use this Method to test your Hard Drive:
