    -> You open the Control Panel, then look for Add/Remove programs.

    I rechecked my Control Panel.

    My copy of windows 7 Pro, Control Panel doe NOT have  the "Add/Remove programs" title. 

    That was reason asked the question. 

    Can anyone help?

    Could it be that the file C:\Windows\System32\appwiz.cpl is missing?

    Windows 7 doesn't use that phrase (that was what XP called it).

    If you're looking at Control Panel in the "Category" view, it's this:

    If you're looking at Control Panel with large or small icons, look for "Programs and Features" --
