No it is much simpler than that. I save recipes into word documents or pdf and only want to save to my recipes file. Usually on the second document save windows would automatically go to the recipes with option to change. I am a very simple user!! Thank you for your reply
Saving to same file repeatedly
Until yesterday when I was saving documents there was the option to save again in the same file. Now I have to locate the file over and over. I have done something wrong and do not know how to rectify. Can you tell me what to do?

You need to tell us which of the countless applications you use. Including a screen snapshot (which you could take with snippingtool.exe) would also help - see below.

Did you mean to say "save to my recipes folder"?
Which folder does the saved file go to?
Does the problem exist when saving the file as .docx or as .pdf?
Which version of MS Word do you use?
