We are getting this error code while trying to update 2018-07 cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x 64 based systems KB4340917. What is this error code .  How to resolve it.

Hi,

The error seems to be new and we're yet to identify what it means. Here is where we use to check  Windows Update error codes. You can the following and see what will be returned in hand:

Initially you can run this automated tool and it will automatically fix any errors. If it could not fix it, at least the tool will show another error. Please note it and get back to us after performing the next method:

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, enter Command Prompt.
  2. Right-click Command Promptfrom the search results and select Run as administrator.
  3. Enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth (remember the space before each "/"). (**Note:**This step may take a few minutes to start and up to 30 minutes to run and complete.)
  4. Enter sfc /scannow (remember the space between "sfc" and "/").
