USB device randomly disconnecting

I have a Yamaha MG10XU audio mixer and for the past 3 months the mixer will randomly disconnect and the device manager says "the drivers for this device are not installed (code28).  Then I can turn the mixer off and on it will work for a little bit then disconnect again.

    Hi,

    I'm Diego Rios, an Independent Advisor willing to help other Microsoft customers.

    Try the following procedures to troubleshoot this incident.

    1. Please, try the following procedures in the link below, which will help you resolve common issues related to USB ports and devices:

    or try this procedures below:

    1. Uninstall and reinstall all USB controllers.

    Open Device Manager by pressing Windows key + X and select device manager from the list. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    In the list of hardware categories, find and expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.

    Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.

    Restart the computer, and let the USB controllers get reinstalled.

    Plug in the removable USB device, and then test to make sure that the issue is resolved.

    You can try the following procedures:

    1. Restart Your PC
    2. Uninstall and Reinstall the USB Driver:
    • Right-click Start and click Device Manager.
    • Locate Keyboard and expand it.
    • Right-click on the USB name and click Uninstall.
    • Reboot your PC and Windows will reinstall the keyboard driver for you automatically.
    1. Update the USB Driver from the manufacture Web Site.
