Surface Laptop 3 (model 1769 December 2019) working fine until updated with Windows 10 Optional Features update yesterday.
Afterwards, worked only briefly before freezing (first time), and then subsequent times going to blue screen WHEA error, and now continuous cycling with "Preparing Automatic Repair"

  • I cannot get it to remove the Windows update. It seems next I should try to boot from a USB drive.
  • **There are 2 files on Microsoft for the Laptop 3, which one to use? ** SurfaceLaptop3_BMR_12_2.22.0
    or SurfaceLaptop3_BMR_12_6.106.0
  • LWhat else can I do to get the computer going again??

    @David Mitch
    Hi,
    The error message Whea Uncorrectable Error you get on a blue screen while running Windows 10 could be caused by any number of hardware failures.
    You may need Windows 10 installation media to get you into the Windows Recovery Environment. Boot your device from the Installation Media, instead of installing Windows 10, choose 'Repair this Computer'. If the repair will fail, but then you will get the option to enter the WinRe by clicking - Troubleshoot - Advanced Options.
