Windows File Explorer Crashes

I've searched the internet and there seems to be a solution to the windows file explorer crashing.  It says to change the GPO to Update rather than Replace.  However, I get an error when I open the Group Policy Management window.  It says I can only use with a domain user account.

I go to Windows settings to change from the standard "Workgroup" but I don't know how to do it.

Is there a solution to either?

    Go to start and settings.

    Search for Workgroup.

Click change workgroup name. This is how you can tell if your in a domain or not and how to move it to a workgroup.

    How are you opening GPO?

I do it by right clicking start and selecting run.

    They type the following.

    Gpedit.msc
