Hide Users on Start Menu

I'm working on setting up a public computer that many people can log into. For security reasons, I would like to hide all users from the start menu so the person logged on can not see other people's user accounts. How would I go about doing this? Thank you.

    Hi Joey,

Here is a registry fix that should do that for you . . .

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

In the left pane, navigate to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

In the right pane look for HideFastUserSwitching

    If it does not exist:

Right-click an empty space in the right hand pane, choose New - DWORD 32-bit value

    Set its name to HideFastUserSwitching

    Then double-click HideFastUserSwitching

Change the Value data to 1

Save that and close the Registry Editor

    Restart your PC . . .

    Hi,

I would like to share it with you that if you have established multiple user accounts on a single Computer than Start Menu will be showing all of them, Its by default in design.

Please let me know, if that helps.

    Kind Regards:

    Yasir
