My gdi32full.dll file under System got corrupted. No programs cannot run with out this file. I contacted Microsoft twice to help me fix it and they ran scannow which temporarily fix it but then later came back. Also, they did a image rewrite of Windows and it fix it but came back again. I am beginning to believe that I have a Trojan virus corrupting this file. If I download a program to detect malware or a virus it will not run because a window pops up telling me the dll file is corrupted. This happen to me after I upgraded to the latest version of Windows 10.  Is anyone having this problem and does anyone know of a program that can bypass the error in order to clean this virus? I may need something that will run when I boot the computer. I hate to reformat the drive because I have programs I purchased earlier and perhaps I will have to pay again for a second download.

    Hello,

If you ran SFC several times, there may possibly be a problem with the SFC. That said, you can run DISM:

    • Run Command Prompt as administrator.
    • Type "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" and press enter.
    • Be patient.
    • After it finishes, restart your computer and run SFC again to see if the corruption comes back again.

The only other option would be to reset your system:

    • Press Windows Key and type Settings. Press Enter.
    • Select Update and Security.
    • Choose Recovery.
    • Click Get Started under Reset this PC.
    • Choose Remove everything.
    • Then, Remove files and clean the drive.
    • Choose Next, then Reset.

This will take a significant amount of time to reset your computer to factory settings. Note that ALL files will be deleted, so hopefully, you have a backup of your important files. I would not recommend completing a backup now, as your files may be infected. That said, the infection may return after the reset if any of your files are infected.
