Didn't work. This is what it says:

When I press the search button on Windows 10, the search box doesn't appear. When my cursor is above the button it highlights it but the search box doesn't show. I am not using Cortana, just the basic search. And someone said to Restart Cortana in the Task manager, but there is no Cortana there. (Look at screenshots)

Didn't work. This is what it says:

That's your problem - Search = Cortana, Cortana = Search.
Open powershell as administrator and try the following
Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.Windows.Cortana | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Did anyone try to remove Cortana or did this just happen?
Does the following folder exist?
C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy
