Hi,

My current environment:

  • SSDT for VS 2017 version: 15.7.4
  • VS 2017 installed
  • SSIS version:-14.0.3002.106
  • Target SQL server version-2017 because our servers are upgraded to 2017

The issue is:

  • When i try to open the package built in 2013 in the new VS2017,we could not open the package.Got error like: value does not fall within expected range
  • Found that the VSTAMajorVersion with target SQL server version 2017 is 15 and MinorVersion is 0
  • I made that change to my package built using 2013 after changing target server to 2017 and I was able to open the package.
  • Later ,another issue came up.There are exceptions raised stating VSTA version is not supported by the SSIS we are using.
  • Another issue, the script task code vanishes.

Please let me know what needs to be fixed.
