Benefits of upgrading AAD connect sync

Currently we are on Microsoft Azure AD Connect Synchronization services 1.4.18.0, this resides on a Win Server 2012 r2 server as part of our rich coexistence setup. Seeing what would be the benefit of upgrading to the latest ver 1.5.450? Is there really a need to do this? Just trying to justify this since everything is working seemlessly.

    Well, you should always be on the latest version whenever possible :)

    They typically has security and bug fixes, maybe not specifically listed, but fixes regardless:

    At this point you are six months behind, and a number of fixes behind. I would get caught up.

    Note also that upgrading allows you to use the V2 endpoint:
