How to delete some contacts in TEAMS

Hi,

In the Contacts list of my TEAMS, I got a lot of "fake" contacts without any name : only the phone number.
Where do they come from ?
How to delete these 'Contacts' ?

Hi There,

Here's some step :

Go to outlook via web.

Go to People tab on the side bar

On the alphabets you can select the ones you want to delete.

Then close your teams app and reopen.

Let it sync for awhile then it will refresh

Teams needs a lot of work. I can't edit contacts in Teams. When creating a chat group on my phone, it is horribly difficult to add multiple people, and doesn't let me see a list of people I might wish to add.

No, I didn't use Teams to dial phone numbers not in my contact list.

Hello Jimmy,
To find these 'ghost' contacts, I clicked on Calls in the left ribbon, and then I click on Contacts. These Contacts don't have any name, only a phone number.

Hi,
Contacts in Calls refer to your Contacts present into Outlook, but only the Contact with a telephone or mobile number in it.

Contacts into Chats are completely different and disjoined from "Call Contacts".

Are you using teams to dial phonenumbers not in your contact list?
Can you manually remove them in the UI?

Does these "fake" contacts are in your organization?

if you want to remove some contacts, please click Contact tab and find the contact that you want to remove and then click three dots (…) to expand the menu. After that please select " Remove from this group". For your reference:

The contacts I want to delete do not show up in the Chat / Contacts folder. I have 0 people showing up there.

However, when I search a particular name (when creating a new chat), there are two versions of one person. One of them is correct and the other is a ghost with an incorrect email address but the same name. How do I get Teams to forget/ignore the ghost?

You are unable to delete contacts in the Calls contacts list if the three dots to the right are not dark and look greyed out . No editing is allowed either and does not work on a Teams Phone like the MP56 Yealink. There support say its an issue with Microsoft

Also you can not copy a phone book from teams user 1 into any other user as a company wide phone book which is the basic of things - Outlook does not populate them over correctly and is a major issue for Desk phone users NOT GOOD.
