I have a domain called test.com, its subdomain is win.test.com, the primary domain controller is dc.test.com, and the subdomain controller is sdc.win.test.com. The primary domain server is DFS namespace and DFS replication, and the child domain controller is DFS replication. When I configured the DFS service between the two controllers, the primary domain controller displayed that the shared folder of the child domain controller could not retrieve the server operating system version when creating the replication group. The network path could not be found.
But my primary domain controller can access the shared folder of the child domain controller through the UNC path. Why is this? How should DFS be configured between different domains in the same forest?
I am using Windows Server2016
