Hello Team, We have in a server (On Premise) on installation of Sharepoint Foundation 2013, this is used just to host a license administrator of a thirdparty software. Now we are moving all our infraestructure to azure, so we want to know if some kind of license is required in order to install the Sharepoint Foundation 2013 in a VM on azure. I have read that the only thing you need is to have a valid Windows Server license. I just want to confirm that we are not violating any license agreement. Thanks.

    Hi Jorge

You are correct, it is not necessary any license for SharePoint Foundation 2013 as it is a free edition , but its necessary a valid Windows license and SQL Server, but in this case, you can use the SQL Server Express 2012.
