Three questions about recorded meetings

Hi!

Since recorded meetings are now saved on OneDrive and SharePoint, I have three questions -

  1. For non-channel meetings, can meeting organizer or Teams admin see some statistics about all meeting recordings for particular meeting, for example who has recorded a meeting. Or it is necessary to scroll up and down all the chat to find all meeting recordings?
  2. Is it possible for Teams or Global admin to set some retention policies for all meeting recordings (non-channel and channel), for example meeting recordings will automatically delete after 90 days?
  3. Can meeting organizer restrict meeting recording, for example none of invitees can record a meeting?

Thanks!

    Hi @Tomass Pētersons ,
For non-channel meetings, can meeting organizer or Teams admin see some statistics about all meeting recordings for particular meeting, for example who has recorded a meeting. Or it is necessary to scroll up and down all the chat to find all meeting recordings?

Yes, you can find who record it by searching the meeting chat history in Teams client.

Is it possible for Teams or Global admin to set some retention policies for all meeting recordings (non-channel and channel), for example meeting recordings will automatically delete after 90 days?

Video is not covered in the Teams retention policy. For more details about retention policy in Microsoft Teams, you can refer to:

Can meeting organizer restrict meeting recording, for example none of invitees can record a meeting?

No, you can’t. But if you are Teams admin, you can go to Meeting->Meeting policy to disable cloud meeting record in Teams admin center. It is controlled at a per-user policy. This setting controls whether a user can record. For more details, you can refer to:
