azure hosted dns zones are billed a small amount per query

this means that someone who meant ill could generate a few trillion dns queries and cost you as much money as they want

or can they?

is there a way to enforce a monthly quota on the cost of this service, similar to the way you can limit the costs on a log analytics account?

@ataxlab canary , Apologies for the delay in response. Azure charges ₹28.819 per million for first billion DNS queries/month and the additions DNS queries (over 1 billion)/month are charged at ₹14.410 per million. I see there are minimal possibilities here to enforce a monthly quota here on this cost. But, you can always check about the quota increase or maintenance issues by contacting Azure support team.

perhaps i could be more clear

regardless of the billing cost and billing model for azure dns, i want to know if there is a way (for azure customers) to enforce a limit on the spend associated with the dns service

i want to know if i can go to the portal and say 'limit dns query spend this month to $x'

can i do this, yes or no
