I purchased windows 10 for my computer. The current version I have is windows 7. My laptop is a Levovo ThinkPad model T530. I signed into Microsoft and the recognized my two other laptops but not the one I was trying to install Windows 10 on. It said to add the serial number but I was unable to find it. I asked support for help and I received "Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs" . Step 2 of the resolution said to press the Windows logo key and R to open the Run dialog and type Run But the system responding it doesn't recognize Run and I should check the spelling. How can I get Microsoft to recognize my computer?

Windows 7 PC can’t be linked to your Microsoft account, so you couldn’t see this device in your Microsoft account devices list.
If you have bought Windows 10 for this laptop, just create a Windows 10 installation media and install Windows 10 on the laptop, then activate it by the license you purchased.
After system installation complete, login system by your Microsoft account, then you will see this device appear in devices list.
