    Try a Repair.
    Try, also, opening Word directly from the Start menu and then using File > Open.

    @sai nitheeshreddy

    Do other Office apps (Excel, PowerPoint) have such issue?
    Before this issue occures, did you do any changes? Such as installing third-party software, using tools to optimize the system.

    • If there is any security software on your computer, please quit it temporarily.
    • It's recommended to perform a repair for Office from Contral Panel as CharlesKenyon-8472 suggested.
    • You may also try to compelety uninstall Office and reinstall it to check this issue.
    • If nothing helps, please create a new administrator account to have a look.

    Any updates, please let us know.
