DPM 2016: How to remove damaged tapes from rotation?

Good day all. Regarding a previous post in this link: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/dede3c6c-aa37-440e-9205-25008d89059b/dpm-2010-how-to-remove-damaged-tapes-from-rotation?forum=dpmtapebackuprecovery , will this still be usable in DPM 2016 and above? Also did you have to sync the DB afterwards with dpmsync.exe? Thank you

Hi @Jacques Lourens ,

The DPM database might have changed some since DPM 2010, in your case I would highly suggest creating a support ticket directly to Microsoft, because tampering with the DPM database is not supported and could cause database corruption.
