Can we Perform RDL on Azure SQL Database?

Question

I have Azure SSRS VM, Enterprise Edition. Can i use Azure SQL DB to do RDL on it.
Does Azure SQL DB support RDL? Is it mention in some docs the reason behind Why Azure SQL DB does or does not support RDL?

Maybe they didn't want to focus more on SSRS and focus more on Power BI for reporting or had some difficulties in providing support with Azure SQL.. Not sure.. it is simply not supported

Anyway, you just have the option to use SSRS inside Azure VM.

@Sarvesh Pandey Thank you for reaching out.

As confirmed in your previous post, it is currently not possible to use Azure SQL database as the backend for SSRS report server.
You can use SQL Server on VM or SQL Managed instance for the same.

We actively listen to asks from customers and prioritize the feature requests accordingly.
SSIS was not offered as a PaaS offering on Azure initially, but based on interest from customers, it is now available for use with ADF.
