Power pivot freeze when refreshing

I'm using Excel 2019, when refresh power pivot with external excel sheet data source being occupied by other user in local network, Excel gets freeze everytime. I used to use Access with linked excel files, when the excel file is being opend by other user, Access will open a copy and continue its job. Does there any possible for pp to do the job?

    Hi @clf ,
    Did you use 32-bit or 64-bit Excel?
    As far as I know 32-bit Excel is limited to 2GB in Memory and Power Pivot relies on being able to keep all data in Memory.
    If you're using 32-bit Excel, you can change to 64-bit Excel to improve Memory.
