Drafts, Archive, Sent, Deleted-items and Junk Email are all inside the inbox

Hi,

I just setup a new email account in Outlook 2019 on my Mac.
The email is from a Domain and Hosting provider and there's nothing special about it.

Usually if you pay for a domain name and a Hosting package you also can create one or more email addresses for your domain. For example if your domain is www.my-website.com, you can create an email such as info@my-website.com.

So I created such an email address and set it up in Outlook 2019 on my Mac.

Everything is working fine and I can send and receive emails.
However the folder structure of my email inside Outlook 2019 looks like this:

As you can see the Drafts, Archive, Sent, Deleted-items and Junk Email are all inside the inbox.

How can I change this so that all those folders are at the same level as the Inbox, like the following?

    Hi @Thomas Wolter ,

What's the type of your account? POP, IMAP or Exchange?

As I know, if you are using IMAP email accounts in Outlook, we could modify IMAP settings to change the folder folder structure, here I tested with Gmail account like below:

To achieve this, please follow the steps below:

    1. Right click your email address in the mail folder list
    2. Select Account settings > Advanced
    3. In the Server Tab, check if you have already configured the IMAP Root folder

    4. If you have already configured it, please try to empty the IMAP Root folder and see if there is any difference.
If you have not configured it yet, please try to configure it as your "Inbox" and then empty the IMAP Root folder to see if it could help.

Notice: Operations above may cause data loss in your mailbox, so please make sure you have backed up all your mailbox items in advance.

If this is not your case, please feel free to provide us with more related information about your issue for further research.
