Hi all,

I just saw a red mark on the IOTCentral connector logo stating that it is now legacy.

What does it mean exactly ? I could not find any definition of "legacy"

    Hi Frederic,

The legacy connector is meant to be used with legacy Azure IoT Central applications. Legacy applications are those that do not support IoT Plug and Play in device templates. The legacy connector does not work with non-legacy applications.

Over the next few weeks, we will release a new Azure IoT Central connector that works with non-legacy applications.

    Thanks,
    Vivian

    Thanks Vivian for the explanation.

Do you know what will be the new features provided by this connector? Will it only be about supporting "Plug & Play" device templates?

More generally speaking, is there a web site where we can find the announcements of this kind of new Azure & IoT features ?

Indeed we are investigating about the possibility to use the connector but it doesn't support what we need at the moment.

    BR/
    Frederic
