Certain menu items greyed out in Visual Studio Community 2019

One of my people recently installed Visual Studio Community 2019 and, on my recommendation, added "Format Document" and "View in Browser (Google Chrome)" to the menus. However, those added menu items are greyed out and their respective short-cut keys don't work. The editor is being used for HTML. How can she get those functions working?

I have checked them on my side, and it could work normally, please confirm if the html file is active in editor.

Yes, HTML files were active in the editor. The editor seems to be functioning fine in other respects - it's just that those two menu items appear greyed out and don't function with their short-cut keys (Ctrl-K,Ctrl-D for Format Document; Ctrl-Shift-W for View in Browser). Do you know why they appear on her menus but are inactive? Did she perhaps set something incorrectly when she added them to the menus?

Hi @LongInt57 , It seems that the file is not recognized by editor. You can try to disable the third-party extensions about code editor, then restart visual studio. In addition, please try to create a new project with html file, then check if the functions can work.

Hi, Dylan.

The matter is now resolved. For the record, I'll explain what transpired.

Initially, events were as I explained above and she had also done updates and even a complete re-installation of the program before I had posted my question above. In response to your suggestion above, she checked her third-party extensions and none of them were enabled. She also did yesterday's update - still no joy. However, last night she again did a complete re-install and this time everything is working.

So, we don't know what went wrong with it before but at least now those functions are working.
