    Hi,

You could select Export Packet Dissections->As Plain Text (or other format you want)

If you select As Plain Text, the document will be saved as below:

As for the error, it suggests please report this to the developers of the program. Since Wireshark is a third party product, I would suggest you could contact Wireshark support for further help.

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

May I know why do you need to copy all the detailed network trace which captured via Network Monitor to a Text file format? It's convenient to view, filter each frame details and analyze the network traffics in Network Monitor. So I would suggest you could view captured network traffics from this tool.

As far as I know, the frame details cannot be transferred to a desired text file automatically.

If you need copy all the detailed network traces, I would suggest you could press Ctrl+A to select all frames, then press Ctrl+C to copy selected frames and then you could open a txt file (or other text file you need) to paste and save all these frame as below screenshot. Please kindly note that if the frame was copied to a text file, it cannot be expended to view its details.

    Hi,
Is there no way to save the output/result file into specific format? It is so slow to copy details by pressing Ctrl-A to select all.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your feedback.

I have done some test in my lab and found that in Network Monitor tool, the network trace cannot be exported to a text file directly.

If you save the network trace with .cap expanded name, it seems that some third party tool can achieve your goals. I have tested in my lab and the .cap file can be exported to txt file successfully.

You could use Wireshark to open the .cap file, and then go to File->Export and choose the options that you want.

For more details, please refer to the following thread:

How do I convert wireshark capture files to text files?
