Copy & Paste to RDP crashes app

Often, when I copy & paste to a remote desktop, regardless of app/process used, it freezes the host app and the client computer. My only solution is a band-aid... running a script to reset C&P functions and/or reboot both systems.

An example case... using Virtualbox machine, if I enter the machine directly from the VBox console, C&P works fine all the time. If I connect to a VBox machine via other RDP the crashes occur, let it be with Windows built-in RDP, Microsoft RDP, TightVNC, etc.

Why specifically does this happen and is there more of a permanent solution?

    Hi,
What's your system OS build? Have you installed new security updates to upgrade to latest Win10 2004 OS build?
Also try to end rdpclip.exe, then go to Run, and write rdpclip.exe to restart this app.

    1. Kill the process rdpclip.exe using the task manager in the remote computer
    2. Go to RUN command and start the application rdpclip.exe
Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.
      Best Regards,
      Carl
