Can't create subscription to Azure Event Grid Topic. Create button greyed out.

OK Setting up my first Event Grid Trigger Function. (Already got some http trigger functions working successfully). Followed the online guides to the letter.

Created an Event Grid Trigger Function
Created an Event Grid Topic

Now I can't subscribe to the event.

Event Subscription Details/Endpoint all set correctly. But "Create" button remains greyed out and is unresponsive.

What am I missing? Only thing I think of is Event Type (but there's nothing in the online guide about needing to set this so one assumes it just defaults to all?). And the form is not complaining. No red marks.

But still the create button remains greyed out. Help!

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A! Thanks for posting the question and apologies for any inconvenience with this issue.

Can you please confirm that the issue is observed while creating the event grid subscription for the topic type "Storage Account"?
I was able to repro the issue for the "Storage Account" type from azure portal and have reached out to my team.
To unblock you can try creating the event grid subscription using powershell command, REST API or CLI

Thanks for the reply. It's for a custom topic "filings" which I was able to successfully create via the portal. It just won't let me subscribe to it. I've also attached the json shown in the advanced editor. I will try one of the other methods and see if I have more success. So I think you are saying it's a bug, which will do my sanity some good!

CLI Powershell command did the trick using the json settings shown above. So I guess it's a bug.

Myself and several in my team are experiencing the same issue, started last week.
Neither Chrome or Firefox works anymore.
Seems like a bug in the portal was introduced.

As a workaround I used IE 11 to create a subscription. That worked.

Interesting. As a general rule I tend to favour the Edge browser when using Microsoft web apps such as the Azure Portal and their Power Platform, thinking that these would play best with their own leading Edge browser. But maybe not in this case as I was using Edge (same internals as Chrome as I understand it) as my frustrations began to mount.

Yes, not using IE is the right thing to do. When you log on with IE you also get a warning that the support for is stopping soon. I think as a workaround it might be an acceptable solution.

The product team is still looking into the issue of creating an event grid subscription from the portal and I will update this thread once the issue is fixed.

It works for me now! Tested with Edge Version 89.0.774.45 (Official build) (64-bit).
