WINDOWS 2008 r2 standard to windows 2012 r2 evaluation version possibility

Hi, I have a windows servers of 2008 r2 standard retail version and it is of German language.We dont have a German language ISO to upgrade to 2012 r2. So want to try 2012 r2 evaluation version.WILL THE UPGRADE POSSIBLE FORM RETAIL 2008 R2 TO EVALUATION 2012 R2 VERSION?

    It just isn't possible. It is blocked and only a clean install is possible to do with evaluation media.

    Evaluation media cannot be used for an in-place upgrade. You'll need to used licensed installation media.
