Azure Purview multiple subscription

Does Azure Purview support scanning and registering data sources across subscriptions? Say if Azure Purview in Subscription A and we have data sources in Subscription B,C etc. Does Azure Purview support scanning and registering of data sources from other subscriptions?

Please can you also confirm whether Purview will support multiple subscriptions across tenants? One of the customers has asked this. The FAQ page says no. I was chatting with one of the Purview champs and it looks using the REST API might be an option until Purview supports is natively.

Yes, if your subscriptions are in same tenant/directory then you can select respective subscription and resource while registering the resources.

Thank you @Saurabh Sharma , I see that Azure Purview is supporting multiple subscriptions within the same tenant as per your screenshot.

Hi,

I have multiple subscriptions in the same tenant/directory, but still cant see them even after granting the Purview account storage blob reader role at a subscription level.

Am I missing something?

You need to give the user who is registering the source read access to the subscription and resources etc
