Good afternoon, at SCCM the machines are taking too long to do the hardware scan, I verified that it is configured to carry out this inventory in 5 minutes, however many machines that I am seeing here the last inventory was last month. Does anyone know what it can be?

Based on the above description, it is difficult for us to determine the specific cause.
As Garth mentioned, we may follow the three parts (Phase 1 – Client PC, Phase 2 – MP Server, and Phase 3 – Site Server.) in the article "How to troubleshoot ConfigMgr hardware inventory issues" to try to find out the reason which caused our problem.
In addition, we may also go to one of the machines to manually run the Hardware Inventory Cycle (Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Configuration Manager>Configuration Manager Properties>Actions). Then we could check InventoryAgent.log and InventoryProvider.log( C:\windows\CCM\Logs) to get more detailed message.
