I am trying to install SharePoint 2013 I discovered server 2012 and but could not find 2012 SQL SP1 set up file Please share the SQL server link to download can we use SQL2014 SP1 instead of SQL 2012 and can we use windows server 2016 instead of server 2012. Please help with appropriate prerequisite software's links for SharePoint 2013 installation

To install the SQL 2012 SP1 ISO, you can refer to the first link in the answer above.

There is no free download link for SharePoint Server 2013, you could register, then download and install full-featured software for a 180-day trial.

You should manually install .NET 3.5 from Server Manager. It likely needs the Windows sources to do so and SQL setup can't find them.

You should not be running SQL 2012 SP1. Instead, install SQL 2012 from the media you have and update to SP4 + post cumulative update for security updates.

Below are some of short solutions to fix Microsoft sql server error 53:

First of all make a restart of the server.

Check for Incorrect connection string.

Ping and telnet the server and host.

Check if SQL services are running at target machine

Enable TCP/IP in SQL Server Configuration

Windows Firewall services disabled (switched off)

Check if Remote Connection is Enabled

Enabled SQL Server Browser Service

Check if the SQL Server is on a restricted subnet

Now I am at step of prerequisite but failing at below. Please help further.

Note: I kept downloaded sharepoint set up in downloads folder only.
I have only C drive no other drives.
