Windows installer 7b6e8.msi - Excel 2003

Hi I am using Excel 2003 for long time now. Since last 6 months, when I try to open this program, every week (approximatively), I got on my screen the following: "Do you want to allow this app to update software on your device: C\Windows\Installer\7b6e8.msi". If I don't accept, I can't open/work on Excel 2003. Some one can help please, and tell me why and what can be done to stop this app updating? Thank you in advance for it. Michel For info, I am also using on the same computer Office 2019

    Hi @Michel Madar ,

    Support and updates for Office 2003 is no longer available.

    If you want to disable Office 2003 updates, please follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and then click "All Programs."
    2. Click "Windows Update" and then click the "Change Settings" link.
    3. Uncheck the check box next to "Give me updates for Microsoft products and check for new optional Microsoft software when I update Windows" to stop Microsoft Office updates.
    4. Click "OK" when asked if you want to opt out and no longer receive updates.
    5. Click "OK" to close the "Settings" window and then close Windows Update.
