Hi,

I am little confused about windows 2020 server release. Some of the article in web says Windows server 2020 released on May, 2020. But, I do not found any of the ISO or update from microsoft about the Windows 2020 server. Can you please help me to clarify when will be the planned Windows 2020 server release. If not planned then what will be the next windows server release and when?

Thanks,
James J

    Hi ,

The next Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) release of Windows Server, officially called Windows Server 2022, will be released "later this calendar year". According to Microsoft Announcements, Windows Server 2022 builds on Windows Server 2019 and "includes advanced multi-layer security, hybrid capabilities with Azure, and a flexible platform to modernize applications with containers."

A preview is now available to download.

For more details, you can refer to the following Announcements:

Announcing Windows Server 2022—now in preview

    Best Regards,

    Candy

    Hi @James J ,

There's no "Windows Server 2020" version specifically, unless you are referring to the Semi-Annual Channel (SAC) build 2004 of Windows Server that was released in May 2020, for more information see:
