Hi Microsoft,
For years I was able to open .BAK files created by this specific customer. Now when I try to open a .BAK with the same newest version of MAP Toolkit 9.9.13.0 as it also was installed on the customer site, I get the following error;
"A failure occurred while importing the database. Refer to the log file for more details. The specified backup file is not compatible with the version of SQL server currently running. Please use a backup file that is compatible with this version."
The customer confirmed that during the inventory wizard they checked exactly the same checkboxes as last year. Could you please:

I can't comment on the MAP aspects, but the error message is clear. You try to restore a SQL Server backup that was taken on a SQL Server which has a higher version than the one you try to restore to. Using backup and restore you can go up in version, but not down.

How can I add my question on that forum? Because that is what I tried in the first place. But when I click add question then I have to add a tag. And the tags to choose from are very limited.

I don't know if there's a MAP tag, but I'll throw in a comment even though I don't use MAP. I googled a bit and it seems like MAP comes with an SQL Server by default (express edition). But it also seems like you can point out to MAP to use some other SQL Server to store its data. It seems like your customer did that, using a higher version of SQL Server. So either you need to have your MAP use a higher version of SQL Server, or have your customer have their MAP using a lower version of SQL Server. Not much help, I know, but at least a few small pieces of info.
