Powershell 7 ISE not visible in windows 10

Hi Guys,

I just installed PS 7. But i don't see Powershell 7 ISE in windows 10 .

Do we have ISE for 7 ? or we don't have .

There are plenty of people who do not have visual studio who want to walk through their powershell scripts - like system administrators, business analysts, or other support staff. The ISE was perfect for that - and it's a complete miss on Microsoft's part to discontinue it's use.
I don't really understand the reasoning. Not having an ISE for Powershell 7 has turned the entire product into a big paperweight for me, meaning I'll now have to source out some other tool or method of doing the things that I used to be able to do with powershell scripts.

VS Code is free and you can use it for more than just both the Windows and cross-platform versions of PowerShell: Perl, Ruby, C++, C#, XML, CSV, JSON, Diff, and many more.

The ISE was convenient but not very versatile, and it wasn't extendable. I used for years, but just like 80x24 CRT monitors, I moved on to something better.

The ISE is no longer supported. It'll still run, but without extensive work on your part to modify the things that make it work with PowerShell 5 it will not work with PowerShell 7.

You can find instructions on how to make it work with PowerShell 7, but you'll be much better off with using either VS Code or Visual Studio as your IDE.

Hi @SR VSP ,

There is no support for the ISE in PowerShell v6 and beyond. Users looking for replacement for the ISE should use Visual Studio Code with the PowerShell Extension.
