I have some doubt in my vendor statement as he told me that it is not possible to buy WIndows Server 2019 Standard OEM license for my 48 core server. Their answer is that there is no option to go beyond 24 core OEM licensing and advise me to go for VL license instead. He mentioned that it was quoted by their local Microsoft partner.

It is my first time purchasing Windows Server OEM licensing . Can anyone guide me and advise me if these Windows part numbers is correct for my 48 core server.

I found these information online :

That's correct, you can purchase additional core packs to cover the cores.

Thank for your answer. I was very shocking surprise when my vendor said this answer was confirmed with Microsoft product support and Ingram Micro that it is not possible to license for anything beyond 24 core license.

it's contradicting to my understanding which i have gathered online.

i planning to go for this option #4 as it has the least number paper license

Option #4 Purchase 1 Qty P73-07926 ( (base license for up to 16 cores)
    &
purchase 2 qty - P73-07926 (Extra 16 Core Additional License)
