Azure Virtual Machine with SSl Certificate Pricing

Hey Guys,

I have created a azure vm(in West India) and hosting a website on vm iis web server. Now I want to secure my website with ssl certificate. But dont know the price for SSl certificate for VM and how to link ssl certificate with my iis webapp?. Please note , I have hosted multiple websites on same azure vm. kindly help. :)

    Hi @Sudhesh ,

    These are the considerations

    • Free SSL certificate is available in Azure provided by DigiCert. But wildcard is not supported. You may need to use CNAME etc.

    • Next is use paid standard certificate ($69.99/per year)- supported one server at a time

    • User paid wildcard certificate ($299.99) - from the same page above

    I have to agree with the microsoft azure free account lets you explore different scenerios and simulated vm enviroment safe from any viruses. I had no problems at all obtaining a license its simple find ssl certicate. windows system is all im comfortable with. Control panel /systems/content.exe
