I would like to change the Windows domain name of my Exchange 2016 / Windows 2016 server. Are there specific steps required to accomplish this? Don't want to break email.

The domain rename operation is not supported in Microsoft Exchange 2000 server,Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 or Exchange Server 2010,Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.

I'm curious, did you try renaming the server? I need to do the same thing.
I want to rename the server, not the AD domain.
