Unable to open PDF files in sharepoint by MAC OS remote connection

Osman Vural 1 Reputation point

I am Macbook pro user. (macOS BigSur Version 11.2.3) When I connect to CRM Sharepoint through https:// all the Microsoft Office files are open, copy, modify and save but pdf files are not. I can see all the pdf files in folder but when I click on it, receive the following message. "The file “xxxxxxxx.pdf” could not be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize." I try this with many alternative pdf reader application but the result is same. Also, when I try to copy it to my mac it gives the following message. "The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “xxxxxxxx.pdf” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36)" PDF files are copying to my mac but it gives the same error. I would be appreciated if someone can show the solution. Thanks

    Hi @Osman Vural ,

To narrow down this issue, let's verify the followings:

    • Are you using SharePoint integrated with CRM? SharePoint Online or SharePoint Server?
    • How about uploading a .pdf file can be opened normally on your OS to SharePoint and re-open it in SharePoint folder?
    • Does this issue occur only to you or to multiple users?

As per my research, this issue seems to be more related to MAC OS, here are some similar issues for your reference.
