!, We had integrated ADF alerts into MS Teams for successful/Failure pipeline runs. Till 10th Feb 2021, We could see the ADF Alert Name whenever the alert used to get triggered. Hi @Mohan , Could you please try to set same alert to your work/personal email and see if you are able to see the subject of the alert in email ? Just wanted to narrow down the root cause of the issue, to understand if the issue was from ADF or Teams or Azure Monitor. I did tried setting alert to my work email address and was able to see the subject of the alert as below: And if you are able to see the subject of the alert in email but not in teams then I would assume it could be an issue with Teams/Azure Monitor and need to involve right folks to have a deeper look into it. Please let us know your observations. @JimmyYang-MSFT - For me it seems to be an issue specific to Teams Email connector. But let's wait for @Mohan to confirm the findings.

First thing I would think of is checking the alert Rules. If they are still OK, maybe create a new one to test if there are some changes.

Created a similar alert. Do not see any changes in the way the message was posted. Also we have not made any changes to the existing alerts. Thanks for looking into this. Suspect if anything was changed at ADF side,

Hey @KranthiPakala-MSFT , Thanks for looking into this.

Tried the option of sending the email to my outlook account, I did get the email with configured Alert Name.

Below is one other option I tried but didn't see any positive changes.

Created a New Channel in teams. First few alerts, Could see the alert name getting posted, and after 8 hours or so, it reverted back to the same issue(No alert name)

Hi @Mohan , Thanks for your response and sharing your findings. I suspect this could be more of teams email connector related issue rather than ADF. If this is a critical issue for you, I would recommend filing a support ticket so that a support engineer can take deeper look into it.

@JimmyYang-MSFT Could you please have a look at this issue? I'm suspecting it to be more of teams issue as we don't see this issue when we send alerts to outlook email.

Do you have the same issue in Teams web client?

If this issue is also exist in Teams web client, we recommend you check the connector in Microsoft Teams. The following link shows you how to test the connector for your reference:

Is this issue is not exist in Teams web client, you should try to log out Teams client and clear Teams client cache file to see if it can be fixed.

Hi @KranthiPakala-MSFT @JimmyYang-MSFT , The issue seems to be resolved now. Since 12 hours , we are again seeing the Alert Name in the post. Not sure what changed. Am sure we had not changed anything from our side.

Hi @Mohan ,

Thanks for the update and glad to know that the issue was resolved. If you ever encounter the issue, I would recommend to setup another alert rule to your outlook to verify if it is happening just with Teams email connector and then file a Support ticket so that a support engineer can gather the logs and involve respective engineering team to further investigate and apply a permanent fix to prevent this from happening in future.
