hi.

I changed my app service plan level and that lead to a change of the inbound ip address. Now i have several apps running there where the domain is handled externally. i had no problems changing the a record for these.

However, i also have an "app service domain" managed by azure pointing there. do i have to do anything for this domain is the change propagated automatically? If i have to do something: Where do i find the documentation, because i can't find any.

So for anybody else: No, azure does not manage that automatically. You need to change dns entries, or at least, the A record.

In the portal, there is a region for "app service domains", that lists your domains "managed" by azure. go there. It has an "advanced" button which goes to a totally different site that has nothing to do with azure, not even branding. that site has settings for DNS and you can also change the A record there.
