What's the specific Guest User Email Address format support?

Hi

What are the limitations on the supported email format when creating a Guest User in Azure AD? It doesn't seem to support all valid email addresses, so I'm just looking for specifics on what is valid in Azure AD.

For example (but not limited to): String length, characters, internationalisation etc.

Also - are the limitations on creating the user via the UI, aligned with those creating the user via MS Graph API? If not, what are the limitations for both methods of creating the user?

    We do checks on below things in addition to the limitation around the plus (+)
    • Email syntax
    • Length
    • Domain is valid
    • Along with additional checks consistent with all users
