General Question: Chat history Life Time in MS Teams Chat pane

Dear Team

i would like to know, how long the chat history available in MS Teams chat pane. i could get see my old chat history is not available / not able to see in the chat pane. how could i retrieve back to my chat history in MS Teams

    All chats are saved indefinitely, unless a retention policy is configured in the tenant to clear them out. What you see in the client is simply the "most recent" entries, however you can search for a specific person and/or group and access older chats with them.
    The experience leaves a lot to be desired and there are multiple requests to improve it, though MS hasnt committed to anything just yet.

    Your picture contains privacy information, I have covered them.

    Based on this article, Teams chat, channel, and files data are retained forever by default. To find previous chat for specific person, you can click chat icon and use ctrl + F to find it. The following picture is for your reference:
