Hi,

I know how to configure general query suggestions that shall be available to all users via the CA => Search Service Applications => Query Suggestions page.

However it seems to be that this is user specific, too? If yes, where is this information stored and how can I export the user specific data?

In addition to that - at the search results for some users there is another information displayed beneath the suggestions => you have recently viewed this result ..
Where does this come from?

Thanks
Sven

    Hi @Anonymous ,

The search system automatically creates query suggestions for a query when users have clicked one or more of the results for that query at least six times. The query suggestions are generated daily for each result source and for each site collection, so the automatic query suggestions can be different for different result sources and site collections(as you said "user specific"). However, there is no OOTB way to export the "user specific" Query Suggestions data.

The Query Suggestion you import in CA -> Search Service Applications -> Query Suggestions page is not user specific. The query suggestions apply to all result sources and all site collections.

For more detailed information, please refer to the following articles:

Create and import query suggestions for the classic search experience in SharePoint Server

As per my test, "You've seen this result before" will automatically appear if you have clicked one same result many times for a query keyword. If you want to remove it, the easiest way that I am aware of is resetting the index in search service application and it will update all the properties of the results. And if you want to remove the “You’ve seen this result before” in search results display template, please refer to the links below:
