    Thanks, Pat.

I got to #5, on 'Apply' I got this popup:

"The new logon name will not take effect until you stop and restart the service"

On right click on services > windows firewall > stop I got this popup:

"windows could not stop the windows firewall service on Local Computer. The service did not return an error. This could be an internal Windows error or an internal service error. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.'

PS, this is the first step in trying to get multiple monitors to work.

Did you try updating the display driver for the monitor issue?

Thank you for the suggestion, Sumit. I didn't try it, I used DaveM121's solution of an update with a Windows ISO. It successfully updated to 1809, but I have the old issue of can't detect other monitors, which was the reason I was on such an old version.

    But I appreciate your help.

You need to Stop the Service in Services.msc panel

Right Click on the Service > Select Properties

    Click on Stop

    Next, Click on Start

    Click Ok

Close Services and retry Windows Update again.

By the Way, The current build is 18323_19h1
