Previewing Outlook MSG files using 64 Bit Wndows 7 and 32 Bit Office 2016

I am currently using 64 bit version of Windows 7 Enterprise.  I recently upgraded my Microsoft Office suite from 32 bit Office 2010 to 32 bit Office 2016.  Office 2016 seems to work just fine.

The problem I have now is with the file previewer in Windows.  Before I switched to Office 2016, I could preview my MSG files using Windows Explorer.  Now, when I select any MSG file in Windows Explorer a message is displayed in the preview window saying "This file can't be previewed."  So, now I have to open each MSG to view it.

Previously, when I searched for files using the search box from the Windows 7 start button, the list of records displayed included emails residing in my Outlook.  Those were able to be previewed prior to switching over to Office 2016.  Now those are not viewable in the Windows Explorer preview window.

How do I get this Windows Explorer preview function fixed?

You need to right-click any .msg file, then left-click Open with and make Outlook the default app to be used for .msg files.
