    Hi MrFrost65

If you can log into your own admin account that Microsoft setup:

Click your Start Button, then just type netplwiz and hit Enter

Select that other Admin account and click Remove . . .

there is nothing to back up. I called Microsoft and she made me an admin. Now I can't find a way to remove him or get around the password. I've already got some of my passwords active, still need the password

Hi MrFrost65 ... if you know the password for the old admin account then login as that admin.

Create yourself a new local admin account. see link.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/402692...

Once you do that login with your new local admin account.

Then right click your start button and select computer management.

Go to local users and groups and then users.

See if you can delete the old admin account.

Hi MrFrost65, when purchasing a used laptop, the best, quickest and safest thing to do is to Reset Windows

Backup any data you may have before continuing . ..

Press the Shift Key and click Restart

Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Reset this PC

    Choose to keep nothing

    Then start the Reset
