Cap lock issue Mouse Without Borders

I am using Mouse Without Borders and have a little issue with cap locks. On the primary computer when I initiate cap locks it acts normally. But on a remote computer if I enable cap locks there is no indicator light but cap lock has changed state to caps. You can turn caps on and off but have no indication which mode your in. If you turn cap locks on via the primary computer you get a light indicating they are on and they work properly on the primary computer. Once the cap lock light is on and you move the cursor to the secondary computer the light remain on but caps do not work.

Sorry for the delay in response.

I definitely understand how difficult it is to identify the caps lock indication when you are on Single keyboard in this scenario. Since the keyboard indicator will function only with the one which is connected to CPU. As we have discussed before, please share your feedback in Feedback Hub app regarding this feature.

In my case I only use one keyboard and one mouse so when hitting cap lock I receive no indication they are on. So will there ever be a fix or is my method not what you consider normal? I don't have room on my desktop for 2 keyboards.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We were able to reproduce the issue and yes, you’re right. When you are connected using Mouse without Borders, you may face issues in identifying the CAPS lock or indicator light state. When you move your mouse from the primary computer to secondary computer and try toggling the CAPS lock, you will not get any indication on the primary computer’s keyboard. You will see the indicator lights turning ON and OFF in the secondary computer’s keyboard.

When you move the mouse from secondary computer to primary computer, you will be able to type in the same state (Caps lock ON or OFF) which is indicating on the keyboard. Once you move it to the secondary computer, you will not see the change in your keyboard, however, you will be able to type in same state as you had left it earlier.

We value and appreciate your suggestions. I suggest you to send feedback to Microsoft on the Feedback Hub app.
